Local Business Coach Angela Raises Over £1200 for Cransley Hospice

Saturday 3rd July 2021 saw Business coach Angela Turton of ActionCOACH Oakham & Kettering facing her fear of heights (and airplanes) to raise money for Kettering-based Cransley Hospice Trust.

A representative of Cransley Hospice visited one of the regular business networking sessions that Angela attends and hearing about the wonderful things the trust does, Angela decided she would take part in a SkyDive to raise crucial funds for the charity.

Normally, it’s Angela helping local business owners face their fears, and meet set goals but this time the onus was purely on her!

When the day of the skydive came, Angela actually took off twice! During the first attempt, the skydiving crew and their nervous jumpers were advised the cloud was too low and too thick, and so the flight had to be aborted.

A few anxious hours later Angela had a successful 2nd attempt. She skydived and as you can see from the image, with the biggest smile (both of fear and joy) on her face!

Cransley provides care for patients with a life-limiting illness who need the specialist help of hospice care. This care takes in all aspects of the person i.e. physical and mental health, spiritual and social care (holistic care), and is available in the hospice building (inpatient unit) and at home (whether this is their own home or a care home, etc.)

As the jump was self-funded by Angela, all proceeds will go directly to the hospice.

Angela said “I had an absolutely amazing day! My heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who both supported me in raising much-needed money for this wonderful trust.”
